At Great Blue Dental, we work with many insurance companies to maximize your allotted benefits in a benefit year. We'd be happy to do a complimentary benefits check for you during your visit with us to determine what benefits you have.
There are a few plans, such as state insurance through Badgercare/ForwardHealth, Medicaid and Medicare, that do not cover services with our dentists. Call today to schedule your visit with us and learn more.
We’re glad you asked! At Great Blue Dental, it’s common that we'll recommend sealants on any tooth that could benefit from one. This is a preventative service because we’d prefer to see vulnerable teeth be protected from getting a cavity and requiring a filling in the future.
Every tooth is different. Therefore, we'll co-diagnose together to determine which teeth of yours could benefit from sealants. If you’ve only ever heard of sealants for children let’s think about why we would treat teeth differently dependent on age. Honestly, we wouldn’t. We protect primary (baby) teeth the same as we would permanent (adult) teeth. Preventing decay in the oral cavity is the overall goal of our dentists here at Great Blue Dental!
Like sealants, the topical application of fluoride varnish on the teeth is a protective barrier that helps to strengthen the teeth between routine dental visits. Fluoride is a safe, naturally occurring mineral that's clinically proven to help prevent cavities. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our dentists.
Your child should be seen for their first dental visit within 6 months of the eruption of their first tooth, or no later than age one. These guidelines are in agreeance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
After your child's initial visit, we recommend a good homecare routine as well as a dental exam and cleaning from our dentists every six months. For a family dentist you can trust, give us a call today.
At Great Blue Dental, our standard of care is very high. In order to stay compliant with our state laws, x-rays are required to properly diagnose all patients. If you’re a new patient to our practice and wish to have recent images transferred from your last dentist, we ask that you send them to office@greatbluedental.com prior to your first visit.
If additional images are required, we'll notify you prior to taking them. We require these images for proper treatment, diagnosis, and planning. This allows us to ensure our dentists can provide the best possible care for you.
We’re glad you asked! We have an in-office dental savings plan for patients without insurance. We’d be happy to discuss this in further detail at your upcoming visit. Call us or send us an email at office@greatbluedental.com. Our dentists look forward to working with you!
